Low End Lab exists because most bass buying advice is really guitar advice with the word "bass" swapped in. Low end behaves differently: amp headroom, string choice, and pickup voicing all matter in ways guitar-focused reviews miss. Everything here is written from the perspective of someone who actually plays bass.

What we do and don't do

We write practical buying guides and comparisons, and we point you to Amazon to buy. We do not publish fake reviews, invented prices, or staged "testing" claims. When we haven't personally used something, we say so and focus on well-documented, widely available gear.
